New Stuff!

The smoke damaged most of our furniture so we've had our eyes open for some new furniture. We went to the thrift store and I found a really nice sofa. I showed my mom and she wasn't to thrilled about it. It was next to a cruddy sofa so it made it look kind of cruddy. It was $31. so I tried my best to talk my mom into it. She didn't really want to but finally she said OK. I kept saying to myself, "when we get home she'll start saying how wonderful it was." But I was wrong!!! When we got in the car she started saying how much she liked it! I can't find the charger for the camera batteries so there aren't any pictures. DARN!!! It's the coolest sofa ever to.
Today my dad brought home a microwave! We were so thrilled! You never knew how much you use until you lose it. The microwave is GIGANTIC!!! It is huge! My dad was installing above the stove but then my mom decided she didn't like the fake brick that was behind it. So my dad is now taking that out and they are going to paint the kitchen. Personally I like Blue and yellow. Please comment and tell me your favorite combinations. I'll try to find the charger so that I can take some pics of everything. :)

First it's the car now I gotta pay to fix the house...

My mom and I were driving down to the YMCA. We were driving straight and there was this other guy who was turning into our lane. He accelerated and drove right into our car. I was in the passengers seat and got most of the impact. My mom was sore for a while because of trying to hold tight to the steering wheel. No one was hurt though. My mom called the police and in the mean time the other guy called the owner of the car he was driving. The owner of the car talked to my mom and told her not to call the police because all they would do is just make it more difficult for everyone. My mom told him that she already called the police. The police arrived and took care of it and found out a little more about him. He only spoke Spanish and he didn't have a drivers licence and he evidently didn't know how to drive to well. He said to the police, "I had my flashers on but she didn't stop." We've got it all figured out now.

That same day I almost set our house on fire. It was almost midnight and my parents were on their way home from the temple. I had just gotten back from babysitting the Henshaws girls. My leg was hurting me really really bad so I put my heating pad in the microwave to warm it up. Our microwave is ancient. Ten to fifteen years old! And it sometimes doesn't turn off after it beeps. Well, this happened to be one of those unlucky times when it didn't turn off. Sister Darley came over to take me to her home so I wouldn't be alone at home. I forgot about the heating pad and went with sister darley. The microwave didn't stop and it kept going for about an hour. Finally when my mom and dad came home they opened the door and a bunch of smoke flooded through the door. All the fire alarms were beeping. My dad ducked his head down and ran through the house trying to find the source of all the smoke. He ran into the kitchen and saw some flames around the microwave. He picked it up and took it out side and sprayed it with the hose until it had cooled off. I didn't know anything about it until the next morning when brother Darley said to me,"your house almost burned down." I said, "your kidding." He replied, "no I'm not." I came back with, "yes you are." That was a real surprise to me.

I don't have any pictures yet but I'll take some and post them later. Can you guess what movie the phrase I have for the title is from? Please comment.

A Little Sunday Snooze

So how do you like the new time schedule? Church starts at 9:00 am now. I hate it because I don't get to sleep in to eleven anymore. My dad loves it because you get the rest of the day to do home teaching and stuff like that. This morning I had BYC so I had to be at the church by 8:00. Here's a movie of a trick I played on my dad when I was supposed to be doing the dishes.

YMCA

We signed up at the YMCA today. We went swimming their only once before. Today you can sign up for FREE!!! Only today. The festivities are pretty fun to. It has 2 heated pools, I don't know how many work out rooms, and it also has a room upstairs for food and stuff. We might be going back today. I love it.
