My Temple Experience

Like I said, we went to the temple as a youth activity. It was really fun. But we had to wait a loooooong time before we could start the baptisms. We were all in our jump-suits waiting for them to hand out our names. He handed me my names and I excepted them. Then I looked down at them and noticed they were blue cards. BOY CARDS!!! I walked over to him and said, "These aren't mine." He looked at them, then looked at me and said,,,,,,,,,,,"Yes they are." I made my voice really high and said, "No there not." He looked back at me and said, "Oh! Your right! Let me get you girl names!" I walked back to my seat and my face turned real red from holding back the laughter. Then everyone started staring at me. I couldn't help myself. I started laughing. It was so funny! He really thought I was a boy! XP

that is great!! I'm laughing so hard right now! I'm sorry, but that was pretty good. I wonder if that happens a lot. I just have to say I don't think you look like a boy.

Awwwww! I don't think you look like a boy either. He's probably one of those men who thinks every baby is a boy too.....even when they're all in pink with a big bow on their head!!!! (But I'm not bitter.) I'm glad that you're not offended and leaving the church because someone made a mistake in the temple. I feel so good knowing that your testimony is strong and true. Love ya!

Oh, you don't look anything like a boy. He must have been an old man that can't see very well.

LOL! If it makes you feel any better, I had the same type of experience. I was vacationing in Colorado at a "dude ranch" for our family reunion. We were in the mess hall for breakfast, and the man serving said "There you go young man" as he served my food. I gave him a really weird look, he looked at me, then my chest, then back up at me and said, "I'm sorry ma'm!"
THAT was embarrassing.
