First it's the car now I gotta pay to fix the house...

My mom and I were driving down to the YMCA. We were driving straight and there was this other guy who was turning into our lane. He accelerated and drove right into our car. I was in the passengers seat and got most of the impact. My mom was sore for a while because of trying to hold tight to the steering wheel. No one was hurt though. My mom called the police and in the mean time the other guy called the owner of the car he was driving. The owner of the car talked to my mom and told her not to call the police because all they would do is just make it more difficult for everyone. My mom told him that she already called the police. The police arrived and took care of it and found out a little more about him. He only spoke Spanish and he didn't have a drivers licence and he evidently didn't know how to drive to well. He said to the police, "I had my flashers on but she didn't stop." We've got it all figured out now.

That same day I almost set our house on fire. It was almost midnight and my parents were on their way home from the temple. I had just gotten back from babysitting the Henshaws girls. My leg was hurting me really really bad so I put my heating pad in the microwave to warm it up. Our microwave is ancient. Ten to fifteen years old! And it sometimes doesn't turn off after it beeps. Well, this happened to be one of those unlucky times when it didn't turn off. Sister Darley came over to take me to her home so I wouldn't be alone at home. I forgot about the heating pad and went with sister darley. The microwave didn't stop and it kept going for about an hour. Finally when my mom and dad came home they opened the door and a bunch of smoke flooded through the door. All the fire alarms were beeping. My dad ducked his head down and ran through the house trying to find the source of all the smoke. He ran into the kitchen and saw some flames around the microwave. He picked it up and took it out side and sprayed it with the hose until it had cooled off. I didn't know anything about it until the next morning when brother Darley said to me,"your house almost burned down." I said, "your kidding." He replied, "no I'm not." I came back with, "yes you are." That was a real surprise to me.

I don't have any pictures yet but I'll take some and post them later. Can you guess what movie the phrase I have for the title is from? Please comment.

Poor sweet girl (no pun intended). I am so happy that everyone is all right.
How about damage to the car and house? Is there a lot of damage or just little things?
I really am glad that no one got hurt. And sorry, I don't know what movie that is from.
Love you guys!

That is one crazy day/weekend. I'm pretty sure that would have put me right over the edge!! I'm glad you guys are alright and no one was hurt. I think the quote is from the Incredibles, but it's actually: "First it's the car, now I gotta pay to fix the table..." when he cuts through the kid's meat and plate. Am I right?

The movie it's from is The Incredibles. Remember when he trips on the skate board and bends the car door down?
